Buck – Principal International Consultant and Actuary

Job Summary

The Principal International Consultant and Actuary is a leader within the International Consulting practice and contributes to the growth and leadership within the practice. This colleague leads all aspects of our international consulting offerings to its clients. This role reports to the Global Practice Leader. Key elements of the role include:

  • New Business Development

  • Revenue growth via the addition of new clients and expansion of services with current clients

  • Works with Sales staff to promote international consulting offerings

  • Attends news business opportunity meetings

  • Meet a minimum sales goal requirement

  • Delivery/Subject Matter Expertise

  • Act as strategic lead international consultant on global retirement and global benefits clients

  • Meet a minimum billable hours requirement

  • Contribute to the creation of new international consulting offerings and enhancement of current international services, particularly in the global retirement space

  • Management/mentoring of staff, as appropriate

  • Quality and peer review; delivery excellence of our consulting product

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10 plus years of experience in international consulting

Geographic Location and Travel

This role can be based anywhere within the Buck US geography. Moderate travel is expected (30-50%). Key US cities for Buck include Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Washington DC, Berwyn (Philadelphia), Cleveland, Fort Wayne, St. Louis, San Francisco, New York, and Secaucus. Residing in one of these cities is preferred, as a local office presence and interaction with colleagues is a benefit for all.
