Technical Analyst (Graduate) - Bristol

The opportunity:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Analyst to join our Flexible Benefits Implementation team in Bristol.

This role will ideally be suited to a recent technology graduate or someone with 12 months plus experience in a technology focused role.

As the Technical Analyst, you will be supporting the management of configuration projects end-to -end. You will also be working very closely with other project and technical teams to configure and support the test-cycles and execute test plans and scripts.

As the Technical Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining simple to medium complexity flexible benefit software configuration tasks in the Darwin platform;

  • Support of the internal Flex Delivery team queries;

  • Undertake configuration testing;

  • Complete configuration peer review;

  • Liaise with key internal business contacts including Project Managers and Consultants;

  • Liaise with 3rd party external software providers;

  • Maintain and update configuration process documentation;

  • Undertake and take responsibility for completion of assigned work in a timely and accurate manner;

  • Maintain and log accurate time recording for all work complete;

  • Carry out such other duties as may be agreed from time to time.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of IT or Configuration focused role;

  • Ideally holding an IT focused qualification or graduate degree;

  • The ability to provide support in person or by emails;

  • Strong MS Office Excel to advanced level including knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and Advance Formula’s;

  • Experience of working with MS Access, PHP and / or MySQL (desirable not essential);

  • Ability to manage own work and priorities accordingly;

  • Strong problem-solving skills;

  • A proactive and methodical thinker who works well under pressure;

  • Attention to detail is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent communication skills essential, both verbal and written.
