Description We are seeking a Corporate Controller to join our team based in Dedham, Massachusetts. This role is pivotal to our finance department, where you will oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance. The successful candidate will be well-versed in Excel and QuickBooks, with experience in deferred revenue recognition, cost accounting, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

• Coordinate with accounting team members to review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify variances and discrepancies, taking appropriate corrective actions.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to comply with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and maintain processes for recognizing and tracking deferred revenue in accordance with accounting principles.

• Establish and maintain cost accounting procedures to accurately track and allocate costs across various business units and projects.

• Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, incorporating insights from financial analysis and business trends.

• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements

• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting procedures and principles.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting is required.

• Should have experience in managing and calculating Deferred Revenue.

• Demonstrated ability in performing Month-end Close Activities is vital.

• Must be able to develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.

• Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process is essential.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is required.

• Must possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.

• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams: achieving organizational focus on key priorities, ensuring that we are developing future leaders, pushing decision making out into the organization.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, including executive management.

• Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication and influencing skills.

• Strong business and common sense acumen.

• Ethical behavior: personally embodying the highest integrity and ethical standards.

• Must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
