He has leading-edge expertise in the fields of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Laparoscopic (minimally invasive) Surgery, Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Transanal Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Sphincter Preserving Surgery. Dr. Popowich is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and is a part of over 6 different professional societies including: Association for Academic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and New England Society of Colorectal Surgeons. He has also written over 20 peer reviewed manuscripts and several book chapters involving colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases, and various techniques in Minimally Invasive Surgery. The Surgical Services Practice is currently looking for a Physician Assistants / PA's to join the Surgical Services team and be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high quality healthcare. Responsibilities: The Physician Assistant will provide pre and post-operative care to surgical patients in a practice setting First or second assist in OR plus NEW State of the Art Ambulatory Surgery Center Order and review test results for treatment and diagnosis of patients undergoing surgical procedures Qualifications: 2 years of experience ; robotics or colorectal clinical exp. preferred Bachelor of Science, Masters preferred in an AMA approved Physician Assistant program Must be able to work a flexible day schedule NYS Physician Assistant License or Limited Permit NCCPA Certification BLS and ACLS certification Salary Range USD $66.55 - USD $89.37 /Hr.
