Position Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Labour Services, the Labourer will maintain a clean, safe and efficient worksite while assisting with the overall needs of the Maintenance Department and other areas of the plant when required. In this full- time, permanent position, you are required to work in an industrial, safety sensitive work environment.

Accountabilities

  • Operate mobile equipment and complete daily maintenance and checks.

  • Load, unload, or identify materials, distributing them to the appropriate locations on the plant site.

  • Complete general site clean-up and seasonal duties including snow removal and lawn maintenance.

  • Support traffic control plans including monitoring and controlling traffic in or around identified work areas.

  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of equipment and machinery in the production business units.

    Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with trade experience.

  • Previous industrial site experience including operating heavy equipment is considered an asset.

  • Must be able to perform physical repetitive tasks in a safety sensitive work environment.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment.
