Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional individual to join the Controls Coordination team as a Coordination Program Manager. We are a team of customer-obsessed Program Managers within the AMER Data Center Capacity and Delivery (DCCD) Controls Engineering team. Our team provides coordination services, leads strategic initiatives, and drives reporting and communication efforts for our Controls customers. We thrive on operational efficiency, and we always insist on the highest standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the purchase of goods and services for the DCCD Controls Engineering team. You will be involved in the full life cycle of controls projects, working with highly-motivated experts from Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Legal to complete key deliverables required to deploy, maintain, and improve building automation in AWS data centers.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal), not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities, and have a basic understanding of data center, construction, and building automation concepts. They will be detailed oriented and apply a variety of program coordination tools, methodologies, and techniques that support quick and efficient purchasing across all Controls disciplines.

Key job responsibilities

• Managing and tracking Requests for Quotes (RFQs)

• Writing and managing technical Capital Acquisition Requests (CARs)

• Compiling and submitting Work Order (WO) and Change Order (CO) requests

• Submitting Purchase Requests (PRs)

• Managing Purchase Orders (POs)

• Managing PO invoicing

• Managing monthly product and service accruals

• Maintaining and tracking the status of contracts, budgets, and spend

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting

• Implementing and maintaining coordination- and finance-related reports and dashboards

• Writing and maintaining team documentation and training

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • 2+ years creating budgets and forecasts from historical data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to identify data center system-level architecture

  • Experience creating or improving large impact processes and/or procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret contract terms, conditions, and exhibits as applicable to project requirements
