As a Senior Software Developer at S&P Global, you will play a crucial role in developing and refining our Generative AI platforms, which are designed to empower over 30,000 employees. This position involves advanced software design and development across web applications, data pipelines, big data, AI technologies, and multi-cloud solutions. The Team

Our global team is at the forefront of architecture, design, development, and maintenance of S&P Global’s internal Generative AI-based platforms. Known for its expertise, innovation, and passion, the team collaborates on ambitious projects that push the boundaries of technology.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Development: Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-quality, scalable software solutions within a multi-functional Agile team.

• Quality Assurance and Testing: Champion comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

• Complex Problem Solving: Employ expert problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges, evaluating potential solutions for cost-effectiveness and impact.

• Best Practices Leadership: Advocate for and apply advanced software engineering best practices, emphasizing automation and efficiency across all phases of solution delivery.

• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with team members and stakeholders to implement project specifications and achieve strategic objectives effectively.

• Ongoing Support and Enhancement: Manage and support all aspects of the application lifecycle, including updates and troubleshooting.

• Innovative Leadership: Develop innovative, reusable frameworks and components that enhance platform efficiency and usability.

• Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and peers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience in full-stack development, with advanced skills in ReactJS, Node.js, Python, and Postgres.

• Proven expertise in deploying applications across multiple cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and a proven track record in leading agile projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a technical field.

• Comprehensive experience with ReactJS and a strong grasp of modern web technologies.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing complex projects and mentoring teams.

• Expertise in CI/CD practices and familiarity with industry best practices in software development.
