DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will assist, and receive training from, professional social services personnel in providing services to children, youth, and their families. Your work will include scheduling, transporting, and escorting clients to medical, dental, and other appointments, as well as foster homes, court hearings, and throughout the community to participate in recreational programs and activities. You will provide basic information to and contact clients who fail to keep appointments; assist clients and their families with everyday activities of living, home maintenance and care; and distribute as well as deliver equipment, clothing, and other belongings to clients. Additionally, you will supervise children during office visits and in crisis situations in the home. Work additionally involves the performance of routine clerical duties and the maintenance and care of waiting and visiting rooms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have the opportunity to work outside regular hours. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Graduation from high school;or Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
