Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst in Kansas City, Missouri. The role involves delivering analytics and reporting solutions with a focus on financial data and metrics. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading data analytic initiatives, as well as monthly reporting and flux analysis, aligning with the company's mission to deliver trusted, data-driven reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of reports, analyses, and presentations of project financial data to various levels of leadership.

• Lead, coach, and mentor Analytics & Reporting staff.

• Act as a financial data and analytics subject matter expert for department-wide goals and initiatives.

• Act in lead roles for projects focusing on innovation and process improvement.

• Support the Financial Analytics Manager with planning initiatives and prioritizing business and information needs.

• Collaborate and serve as a key liaison between project teams, IT, and Finance Technology to meet project and business reporting needs.

• Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans in support of creating and enhancing project financial data models and reports.

• Translate data requirements for practical usage by stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to enhance technical skills which can be transferred to the Analytics & Reporting team and the Finance department as a whole. Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI Experience a must

• Experience in financial reporting and metric reporting

• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on financial data analysis

• Excellent planning and prioritization skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Experience in credit and finance

• Ability to liaison and maintain relationships with stakeholders

• Proven track record of executing plans and processes

• Excellent client relations and communication skills

• Experience in process improvement and innovation

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, specifically Tableau

• Ability to provide detailed monthly financial reports

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred

• Ability to support and train other members of the business unit

• Experience in workstation support and planning processes

• Ability to create and deliver presentations

• Experience in handling financial data and analytics.
