The Team

The international Integrated and Global Solutions (IGS) team assists multinational companies to identify, implement, finance, harmonise and manage all types of employee benefits, including pensions, health, and welfare.

The IGS Lisbon team is part of our WTW Regional Delivery Hub (LRDH) based in the heart of Lisbon that encompasses a +250 strong global team that delivers operational excellence through innovation and streamlined solutions every single day.

The Role

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will support the local IGS clients’ teams across Europe in post-employment consolidation projects for multinational companies. Key tasks associated with this role are:

  • Support multinational Corporates to manage global actuarial projects.

  • Accounting consolidation of employee benefit liabilities according to international standards (IAS19 and USGAAP).

  • Act as an expert for all technical matters related to post-employment benefits, in special the pension world.

  • Check technical accuracy, reasonableness, and 'sense checking’ your own work, and that of others.

  • Provide on the job training to more junior colleagues.

  • Support leadership in strategic decisions.

The Requirements

You are the person that we are looking for if you have:

  • Degree in actuarial science (is a plus), math, finance, economics or similar field.

  • Relevant industry experience (retirement/pensions) and consulting experience coupled with sound technical capability.

  • Interest in employee benefits for multinational companies (retirement, pension, health) and the consolidation process under IAS 19 and USGAAP.

  • Comfort in working in a global environment.

  • Knowledge and experience of MS Office Products, especially in Excel.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills, including a good understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively create a trusty relationship with the stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Able to encourage and develop other colleagues and work well within diverse teams.

  • Strong verbal and written skills in English (other European Language is a plus).
