Technology Project Manager
This role will support Buck UK’s product development and client implementation across its Employee Benefits service lines.
The individual will work as part of Buck’s current project management organisation and methodology, and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of both.
The projects will be varied and both a combination of:
Product development – managing the ongoing evolution of Buck’s Digital Suite which spans engagement portals, administration systems and analytics tools. This will require working with internal Product Managers, Business Line Owners and IT Development teams – globally and locally – to coordinate the execution of new product features and capability
Client implementation – managing the delivery of products to clients across Buck’s Flexible Benefits, Total Rewards and Employee Share Plan services. This will require co-ordination and engagement of Buck and client implementation teams.
The successful candidate will have awareness of technology solutions in the UK Employee Benefits market.
This individual will have experience in managing the end-to-end product life-cycle, covering discovery, design, development, testing, implementation and ongoing run and maintenance.
The role will involve a combination of remote working and on-location at Buck’s offices in the south of England.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Applying standard Buck project management methodologies, tools and processes for Buck and client project teams
Working with Buck’s project management, IT and business teams to develop and improve exising methodologies, tools and processes
Working with Buck Product Managers and Business Leads to capture and organise priorities and deliverables
Reporting to Buck global leaders on status, progress, issues and risks across all projects
Monitoring ongoing resourcing levels on business and IT sides to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget
Where relevant conduct client-facing project initiation and status meetings
5+ years' experience in HR & Benefits technology;
3+ years experience in project management;
Project Management certification;
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies;
Previous experience with content management, administration and portal systems;
Familiarity with single sign-on, web services, ETL, API, usability and portal best practices and procedures;
Extensive experience with project planning, scoping, risk analysis and scheduling;
Self-motivated and ability to work independently in meeting deadlines;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working with remote teams.
