ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated Assistant Greenkeeper at Worsley Park, to assist the Course Manager with a hard-working team to enhance one of the Premier golf courses in the Northwest of England, and with the world’s leading hotel chain.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Course Manager and be significantly involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course to the highest standards.

This 40 hour per week role requires the candidates to have:

Experience:

• Previous experience of working within a golf course or similar environment is essential.

What we’re looking for

• A team-first attitude

• A gift for paying attention to the smallest details

• An early bird – with early start times you will get to watch the sun come up

• Be happy to work independently

• Hold a full clean UK driving license

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in Sports-turf or horticulture

• Pesticide applications 1/2A/6 (desirable)

• Chainsaw certificate (preferred but not essential)

With this role you will be working 40 hours per week over 5 days, including some weekends.
