The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enterprising pensions processional with strong project management experience to join our Retirement Consulting team as a Project Manager / Consultant (Pensions / Benefits), in our Manchester office.

The ideal candidate will be coming from a Pensions background, ideally APMI qualified or on-track, and is keen to continue their career development with an emphasis on client consulting.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, business acumen and a client focus, alongside the core technical skills.

The role:

Working as part of our highly collaborative team managing the delivery of Buck’s market leading GMP Equalisation solution “Square”, this role will involve a combination of project and client facing work.

You will play a key role on the delivery of solutions to Consultants, Account managers and Administrators across Buck.

What we look for (skills & experience):

  • Ideally part-qualified of recently qualified actuary with a consulting background;

  • Good numerical/mathematics-based degree;

  • Strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills, including a good understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions;

  • Good level of enterprise, with the ability to lead multiple small-scale projects concurrently;

  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients;

  • Strong all-round communication skills;

  • Able to prioritise, organise and carry out tasks within deadlines.
