What Is the Opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Subrogation Specialist to join our team based in any of our UK offices or our Dublin office.

We are looking for someone who has experience dealing with subrogation/recovery claims of third party property damage and liability claims, as well as having strong understanding of policy wordings, obligations and contract wording. You will provide market leading expert claim handling in areas of investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of assigned claims.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

This role is eligible for a £1500 new joiner bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

What Will You Do?

  • Provides market leading claim service working closely with the Business Insurance Claim team and the broader business to deliver and enhance the claim offering.

  • Handles subrogation claims from the Business Insurance lines to include, Property, Liability and Motor cases.

  • Collaborates with Underwriting and Actuarial partners on portfolio, risk mitigation, policy language, and claim trends.

  • Sets reserves; carries out early, appropriate investigations in respect of recovery potential, liability and quantum and provides assistance as necessary to the indemnity case handler.

  • Negotiates settlement of subrogated claims.

  • Ensures that vendors provide a market leading, cost effective service to both insured and the company by continually monitoring their performance, cost and quality.

  • Maintains a close working liaison with underwriters and risk management, and where appropriate, promotes the interests of Travelers by working with other business areas.

  • Assists and supports the Claim Business management team with reporting of management information relating to Subrogation matters.

  • Works as a team member providing such support as required by other members of the team and fully participates in individual and shared project work.

What is a Must Have?

  • Thorough experience and sound judgment handling Subrogation claims for the Motor, Liability and Property lines of business.

  • Thorough technical expertise with proven track record managing complex and high value claims, dealing with key clients, addressing trends and issues affecting their business.
