Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with performing termination, retirement, death and marriage breakdown calculations as required
Assist with preparing employee pension statements, run data reports, run cost of living increases for deferred and pensioned members, prepare reconciliations, set up pensioner payrolls and assist in quality assurance
Assist with collecting, analyze and reconcile related client data manually and electronically
Communicate professionally with team members by telephone, electronically, in person and in writing to secure data pertinent to assignments
Ensuring outstanding issues are resolved and “closed” in a timely manner
Assist with investigating issues raised by clients or colleagues as assigned by direct report
Assist with preparing in a timely and accurate manner all government reporting of Pension Adjustments (PAs), Pension Adjustment Reversals (PARs), and Past Service Pension Adjustments (PSPAs), etc.
Provide superior quality work
Participate in special projects as required
Other duties as required
Participate in Buck actuarial exam study program includes exam material, fees and paid study time as per Buck policy
Attend lunch & learn and participate in any training available to full-time analysts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Currently enrolled in University or college in actuarial or mathematic program
Demonstrated proficiency in PC based software such as Windows, Excel, and Word
Strong analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in team environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to self-motivate
Good written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and strong team spirit and professional
Bilingual English and French a must for Montreal position
