Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an intermediate Data Scientist to join a leading retail client for a contract opportunity. As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. You'll have experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and other techniques to tackle business challenges effectively. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of analytical tasks, from hands-on modeling to strategic planning.

You'll take the lead in the data science development process. This involves understanding business challenges and selecting the most appropriate analytical methods to drive meaningful outcomes. Choosing the right tools and complexity levels is crucial, as your expertise will guide the organization toward effective solutions. The successful candidate with have experience diving into data, perform exploratory analysis, and build models in a retail/media/advertising/ecommerce environment. Your ability to translate data and analytics results into actionable recommendations will directly impact business objectives.

You will collaborate and work closely with cross-functional data, engineering, product, and other teams to identify complex challenges and drive data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for creating compelling narratives through metrics, reports, and dashboards embedded with data science algorithms to enhance understanding. You'll have experience with visualization tools like Streamlit and Rshiny to present insights to senior-level stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a data science role in a retail/media/advertising/ecommerce

   - Degree in a STEM discipline

   - Experience creating data product and strategies

   - Experience understanding, applying and tuning AI algorithms

   - Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes and to accurately determine cause and effect relationships

   - Proficient in GCP, Python, and SQL

   - Curious, hunger for innovation and an appetite for learning.

Excellent communication skills; must be able to explain technical concepts and analyses implications Proficient in Knime null
