Empowering Minds LLC, a mental health provider in Laureldale, PA, is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our compassionate team. As a therapist, you will work collaboratively with clients to address various mental health concerns and promote overall well-being. Responsibilities: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices. Assess and diagnose clients' mental health needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Stay informed about current therapeutic techniques and research in the field. Education and Experience Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field. 1-3+ years of experience Active license as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) Skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with diverse populations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to practice independently without ongoing clinical supervision Ability to acquire state licenses Ability to keep up-to-date with continuing education and knowledge Ability to navigate video-conferencing platforms, and adapt and learn new technology, including telemedicine platforms. Work Context Communication: Types and frequency: Regular communication is essential, involving daily interactions with clients for therapy sessions and consultations. Additionally, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team requires ongoing communication to ensure comprehensive care. Role Relationships: Importance: Building strong therapeutic relationships with clients is paramount for effective treatment outcomes. Interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment, enhancing overall client care. Work Setting: Description: The work setting involves a comfortable and private therapy office within a counseling center. It provides a confidential and conducive space for therapeutic interactions. Environmental Conditions: Extreme Conditions: Typically, mental therapists work in standard indoor office environments. No extreme environmental conditions are expected. Body Positioning: Physical Positions: Mental therapists spend the majority of their time sitting during therapy sessions, consultations, and administrative tasks. Some standing and walking may be involved within the office setting. Work Attire: Dress Requirements: Professional attire is expected, reflecting a clinical and respectful environment.
