Description We have a Collections Specialist position open for candidates with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. This Collections Specialist position in the Secaucus, New Jersey region is a long-term contract / contract to permanent opportunity.

What you get to do every single day

• Process bankruptcy filings correctly when received

• Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act

• Head all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

• Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity

• Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

• Attend to inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

• Log all customer payments to the correct reports

• Guarantee payments are processed

• Act as liaison in maintaining quality service to the customer and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Deep understanding of Inbound Outbound Calls

  • Command of Billing Collection

  • QuickBooks experience desired

  • 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired

  • Effectively analyze customer accounts make decisions based on said analyses
