Canadian Tire Analyst, Print Production in Toronto, Ontario

What You'll Do

The POP, Design and Production Team creates, produces, and fulfills print materials, supporting our Canadian Tire retail stores from a navigational, merchandising and marketing point of view. The Print Production Financial Analyst is a support role with responsibilities and accountabilities, reporting, analyzing, assessing, budgeting, and communicating throughout the production process. This role requires a detail oriented, analytical individual who is eager to learn about CTR print production, Vendor relationships and our retail stores.

  • Manage Print Vendor invoice and purchase order reports.

  • Lead the monthly Vendor Spend Reports and Volume Rebates.

  • Support and maintain Seasonal Marketing accruals for Finance Department.

  • Manage the monthly general ledger by referencing the Administration, Marketing and Decor cost centres, reclassing cost centre amounts to appropriate accounts.

  • Manage monthly BCR against budgets.

  • Handling year end accruals for unpaid POs for Administration, Marketing and Décor.

  • Communicating directly with Print Vendors to generate quote estimates (RFQs) for Print.

  • Support the Purchase Order System (PeopleSoft) as a Super-User for any POs and receipt issues.

  • Collaborate with IT to solve Purchase Order System issues.

  • Support required reprint orders for Line Review POP projects by collaborating with Merchandising and Print Vendors.

  • Maintain and support job dockets in Microsoft Access.

  • Coordinate the production and delivery of POP and Décor.

  • Maintain store distribution lists and shipping details.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a print production or retail environment.

  • University degree or College diploma preferably in Business, Finance Marketing an asset.

  • PC skills: proficient in Excel, MS Access, MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook – CT PeopleSoft Training will be offered.

  • Strong analytical, planning/coordination and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Some knowledge and understanding of all print processes and technologies including Marketing trends an asset.

  • Retail and Corporate experience a definite asset.

  • Demonstrates collaboration and initiative.

  • Ensures quality product and customer experience are a priority.

  • Follows through on reporting timelines and commitments.
