Insight Global Senior Property Underwriter in Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

The Senior Property Underwriter is responsible for the marketing and underwriting of corporate property insurance, including operational power, energy & mining.Underwrite new and renewal business, including all tasks associated with risk and coverage analysis and pricing, and provide recommendations for proposed terms within delegated underwriting authority. Review primary policy, contract and endorsement wording and ensure accuracy and conformance with guidelines.

Skills and Requirements

Post-secondary education with a focus on business.

CIP/FCIP/CRM designation or progression towards would be an asset.

4 to 7 years of experience underwriting property insurance preferably including construction, operational power, energy and mining

heavy manufacturing, energy, mining, construction and civil projects would be considered an asset.

Solid grasp of commercial insurance products combined with good knowledge of the insurance industry.

Ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues

High degree of drive, self-motivation, continuing development and proven ability to work independently.

Strong analytical, negotiating and investigative competencies.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong collaboration and team building skills.

High degree of flexibility and adaptability to changing environment and situations.

Ability and willingness to travel.

Strong computer ability, specifically with MS Office Products Bilingual - French Speaking null
