This position will have competitive salary.
The Shift Manager is responsible for leading warehouse associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
Provide leadership to warehouse associates
Organize stocks and maintain inventory
Inspect products for defects and damages
Examine incoming freight
Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner
Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
Collaborate with day shift transportation team
Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems
Good organizational and time management skills
Current forklift license or ability to obtain one
High school degree or higher required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions from team members and independent contractors, and regular high noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time
Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment
Must be able to maneuver and access all areas of the warehouse
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and reach with arms
