Noble Supply & Logistics Sales Representative, Navy in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Note: This role requires frequent travel in the Virginia Beach area, candidates must reside withing a commutable distance of targeted customers.

Noble is currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Virginia Beach, specifically focused on serving the DoD. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and establishing strong client relationships in the defense and military industry.

By leveraging our established supply chain, vendor relationships, and vast catalog, we lower costs and increase selection and availability, saving time and money for the government and getting products to end-users quickly.

As a Sales Representative for the DoD division, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within your territory. You will work closely with key decision-makers in the military to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute sales strategies, coordinate product demonstrations, and negotiate contract terms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and take ownership of new customers.

  • Engage contacts – Begin making calls to all contacts to arrange sit down capability briefings.

  • Work closely with Market team to grow Noble’s market share through building/rounding out existing Regional DoD product offerings/portfolio.

  • Participate annual review of Noble’s Regional DoD Sales product/technology offerings and make recommendations for inclusion/deletion. Perform due diligence and research on leading technologies/vendors and start reaching out to them to expand our product offering portfolio.

  • Facilitate expanding Noble’s presence within the Regional DoD Sales market.

  • Setting and obtaining goals to meet Company’s overall goals and budgets

  • Mentoring of Account Reps in assigned territory

Experience, Education, Certifications:

  • A minimum of two to five years of prior sales experience in the defense industry is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field or equivalent work experience

Competencies:

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all business levels

  • Solid understanding of assigned sales markets as well as company objectives and goals

  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, customers, and suppliers

  • Customer service focused with the ability to manage difficult customer situations

Computer Skills:

  • Google Workspace or comparable software, internet search capability & database creation/entry

  • Salesforce experience required

  • NetSuite experience is a plus

  • Understanding & experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

  • Sales force Experience a plus
